In just two days, we will be welcoming approximately 350 visitors at our corporate office in Bay City. They are coming to enjoy the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours (BAH) event that we are hosting! If you are a member of the BACC, stop on by and say “hi!” This particular BAH is said to be the second largest of the year!
We are proud of our roots in Bay City and we are proud to be part of the Chamber of Commerce. We know the importance of being involved in our local community, and we enjoy getting to promote our area and meet our fellow local businessmen and businesswomen!
We thought we’d take this opportunity to talk about why Chamber membership is a good thing for a business. We love Chamber membership for the opportunity to get to know the business people in the area, to be able to tell others about the great businesses and people around to help them, to tell others about our business, to support our fellow business owners, to learn more ways we can help our local community, and to show our pride in our local community. This article has some great points in considering if it’s worth joining your local Chamber of Commerce. The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce lists some of the benefits as networking (our favorite!), advertising, internet exposure, reduced cost insurance programs, and more. Check out their full list here! If you’re thinking about joining the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, learn more from their website or Facebook page!
Outdoor Adventures has been in Bay City since its inception 21 years ago. We recently purchased the Landmark Plaza (often referred to as “the old Kresge Building”) and are proud to be part of the revitalization of downtown Bay City. You can read more about the purchase and the building’s history here.
MLive.com did a story on some great “now-and-then” photos of Bay City. We love the image of the Kresge/Landmark Building, and are excited to be part of the history and the future of this great space and this great community!
The important take-aways from this blog post? If you’re a member of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, stop in and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us on Thursday, and if you’re a business owner, consider joining your local Chamber of Commerce!
